This is Why We Worry About ID Database

It’s not having an ID card I object to it’s the huge database that goes with it. Reams of personal information will be left in the hands of a government system who not only have previously lost 25m child benefit records, but who oversea councils selling the electoral roll.

Direct marketing companies (and presumably anyone who pays) can purchase an edited version of the electoral roll, and although it is possible to opt out, it is probably too late now. A report has recently condemned this. I do not want my council selling my personal details and I do not want to give away anymore details, especially biometric data, in case they sell those too or just lose them through incompetence.

I do not trust these people.
