As Wendy Alexander resigns as Scottish Labour leader. Following a one day suspension from the Scottish Parliament for taking illegal donations, she resigned, but called the decision to suspend her partisan. Sour grapes?
The only really interesting thing to me is how this affects the so-called Wendy Commission, a review of devolution. Her calls for Alex Salmond to ‘bring it on’, referring to an independence referendum, gave me hope of an independent England in the forseeable future. Let us hope Scottish Labour’s new leader is as amenable to the calls for self-determination.
