Crewe and/or Nantwich – Tories Set for Big Win

The Conservatives are expected to take Crewe and Nantwich tonight in a big blow to Gordon Brown. This would be the Tories first by-election win since 1982, and could lead to renewed calls for Gordon to step down before he does Labour’s electoral hopes any more damage. Although the image of a party chopping and changing leaders every year like they were the Liberal Democrats might not be appealing either.

Anyway, it is nice to see the pathetic ‘toff campaign’ looks to have not paid off, or even back fired.

It is telling that both the Tories and Lib Dems have mentioned Gordon Brown in election material more than his own Labour party. Not exactly a vote of confidence!
