Boosting Biodiversity

A rare cross-breed Wolphin, a cross between a whale and a dolphin, is remarked on in the Telegraph today. I don’t know if this is related to the ‘human-animal hybrid embryos for medical research’ story or just a coincidence. Also contains a link to pictures of ligers (lion and tiger), shetbra (Shetland pony and zebra) and a few other naturally occuring hybrids.

But as we are always being told biodiversity is a good thing, and the more species the better, maybe for every species that goes extinct we could make a new one through genetic engineering. First off the pipeline, a cross between a human and a badger, known as a hudger or chancellor.
