English Worse Health Care Deliberate

This from the BBC has Health Secretary Alan Johnson explaining why Scottish free prescriptions and long term care of the elderly is not good enough for England. Apparently it’s not the money, it’s a deliberate choice by government. So the extra more than £1000 per head of public spending on Scots is nothing to do with it? Well it’d certainly give government more room to make their funding decisions. But the reason we have less in England is because the UK government has chosen it. Sorry that’s not an excuse English funding decisions should be for the English to make.
